Arleth Lazada - San Marcos High School
Arleth will be attending UCLA majoring in Human Biology and Society and aspires to be a Neurosurgeon. Arleth was involved in the San Marcos High School Band, National Honor Society, AP Ambassador, Link Crew, Quetzal Mama Scholars, Joli Ann Summer School Program, Interfaith Community Services and in Ballet Folklorico Tapatio de Oceanside Dennise Arenas - Rancho Buena Vista High School
Dennise will be attending CSUSM majoring in Biotechnology and aspires to be a Registered Nurse. Dennise was the President of Best Buddies, as well as involved in Ballet Folklorio, M.E.Ch.A. (Movimientos Estudiantil Chicano Azlan), Key Club, Project Reach, California Scholarship Foundation, Border Angels, and JV Tennis. |

D'Andre S Jorge - Mission Hills High School
D'Andre S Jorge will be attending Stanford University majoring in Film and Media Studies. D'Andre aspires to be a Screenwriter/Filmaker. D'Andre was the President of the Avid Club and Peer Leaders Uniting Students. D'Andre was also the vice president of LEO Club and Vice Chair of the San Marcos Youth Commission. Giancarlo will be attending the University of Southern California majoring in History. Giancarlo aspires to be a History Professor. Giancarlo was the Executive Chair for the M.E.Ch.A. Club, Co-Captain for Escondido High School Varsity Football, Co-Captain for Escondido High School Varsity Mens’ Tennis, Captain of the North County Academic League, Youth Court Juror at the Escondido Education. Yovana will be attending California State University San Marcos majoring in Mathematics. Yovana aspires to have a career in Mathemcatic Education. Yovana was the president of the AVID Club AVID and President of AVID Recycling Club. Arleth Flores Aparicio - Rancho Buena Vista High School
Arleth will be attending University of California RIverside majoring in Public Policy. Arleth interned for Congressional District Candidate Paul Kerr, she was also the President & Founder of Mecha (Movimientos Estudiantil Chicano Azlan), while working a part time job. |

David Salomon - Guajome Park Academy
David will be attending UCSD majoring in Business Psychology. David was the Cross Country and Track captain, President of the Music Club, and Senior Class President at Guajome Park Academy. David also was part of the Migrant Education Program at Fullerton and Lorenzo de Zavala youth legislation with the National Hispanic Institute. |

Briana Ramirez Soza
Our most recent scholarship recipient is Briana Ramirez Soza for the 2016-2017 academic year. Briana Ramirez Soza plans on using her scholarship money on furthering her education by buying herself a computer which is greatly needed in college classes to research and write papers. Briana Ramirez Soza is the first generation in her family to have graduated from high school and to attend college. Briana's plan is to continue her education at MiraCosta College for 2 years, and then transfer to a four years university (UCSD or UCLA) where she will major in General Medicine. Briana's career plan is to be a General Doctor and help out low income communities.
Pedro Suazo
Pedro Suazo is currently attending Mira Costa College and planning on transferring to UCSD. Pedro is taking all of his prerequisites at MiraCosta where he has sharpen his skills to plan ahead, time-management, and becoming a better communicator. Pedro is planning on majoring in Physics.
Tony Lita
Tony Lita is a scholarship recipient from May 2013. Tony Lita is attending California State University San Marcos where he is majoring in Business Management Information Systems. Tony is the Current Student Liaison for the Bill De La Fuente Scholarship Foundation.
